Woman finds bags filled with gold bars on walk

TAMPA- A 41-year-old woman found two bags filled with gold bars on a Tampa sidewalk while on her way to Publix Sunday, said Tampa police.

Julie Parker was walking to the supermarket chain to buy food and drinks for a pool party cookout when she came across the bags. They also contained pictures of boats, dogs and guns. Police said there are no reports of any missing or lost gold at this time and that the case is now under investigation.

“When I looked inside the bags, I almost passed out, but I never really thought about keeping the gold I guess,” said Parker.

Wife shoots husband in arm

ATLANTA – A 33-year-old man was shot in the arm by his wife while he was sitting in their
front yard Saturday because she was mad at him, said the Atlanta Police Department.

Steven Rumtrigger was airlifted to Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and is expected to make a full
recovery. Police found the gun in a trash can next to the driveway covered with a pizza box and
empty beer cans. Drugs and other guns were located in the home by police after their search.

“This is such a shock to me because they are nice people and they were here at my house last
week,” said neighbor and friend Uyen Walters.
