About Me
Hey there!
My name is Molly Albright, and I recently graduated with a degree in Integrated Public Relations and Advertising from the University of South Florida.
My Background
After spending several years in the massage therapy and esthetics field, I decided to return to school to complete my degree. I’ve always found communications — verbal and written — to be a strong skill set of mine, so I decided to lean into that when selecting my major. Going back was one of the most rewarding choices I ever made, and doing so a bit older and wiser made me more focused and intentional in the process.
Leadership
I recently completed a year-long term as Director of Events for USF’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter, a role that greatly strengthened my communication, networking and organizational skills. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know other communication professionals in the area and taking on the role of planning meetings that best met the interests and needs of members. Please check out my resume to learn more about the exact skills this role helped me to learn and grow.
Scholarship
As a result of my involvement with USF’s PRSSA chapter, along with my academic success while attending USF, I was awarded the Walter E. Griscti Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to one student each spring semester by the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America in memory of USF professor emeritus Walter E. Griscti, AAPR.
Internships
Over this past summer, I completed two internships. The first was in Barcelona as a Marketing Intern with a real estate company and the second was as a Public Relations and Environmental Affairs Intern at Port Tampa Bay. Both experiences were highly valuable and additional details are highlighted in my resume.
ICON
This past October, I attended my first professional conference in Washington, D.C., for PRSA’s annual ICON. It was truly a game-changer for my budding communications career. I came away with valuable insights on the future of artificial intelligence in communications, how SEO is evolving into GEO/AEO and the power of storytelling through video, among so many other takeaways. I cannot wait to attend again in 2026!
Community
During the past year, I have become more involved in my community. In early to mid-2025, I volunteered at Meacham Urban Farm, and after returning from studying abroad, I began volunteering with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.
Contributing to organizations that reflect my interest in environmental stewardship has been both rewarding and informative. It has also been an amazing way to foster relationships in my community, something I have learned is so important for all of us.
Professional
As I re-enter the job market since starting a new career path, I am excited to begin pursuing my first professional communications role. I am particularly drawn to companies that prioritize leadership, corporate social responsibility and the professional growth of their employees.
Activities
In my free time, I enjoy connecting with nature and staying active. I appreciate the outdoors and enjoy exploring through hiking, camping and kayaking. I also love exploring thrift stores for hidden treasures and cooking nutritious meals using seasonal produce.
